A Few Fall Pics

Just a few pics from this morning:

Dylan Goes on Vacation

At the beginning of September we had quite the whirlwind trip: Denver to Vancouver to Pemberton, BC, to Whistler, to Vancouver, to Boston by way of Chicago, to Quechee, VT, to Boston, and finally back to Denver. Here are some of our favorite pics:

And here's a video of Dylan playing the "flip the ball in the cup on a stick" game, or getting ready for his first ninja training:

Incredibly Overdue - Where did the last 2 months go?

Well, we have been taking pictures throughout the summer. We've just been too busy chasing Dylan and Arthur to post them and when we aren't chasing Dylan and Arthur, we're too tired to do much more than enjoy a cold one on the veranda.

So here's a slideshow. Lazy, yes. If you have questions about the photos, just ask and we'll fill in some captions...

Alaska Trip: Day 7

Ben and Jamie taking a relaxing morning hot tub.

The pig goes on the fire.

This is the view from Scott and Kim's house. Gorgeous!

Steve keeps the cooking temp even by pre-heating charcoal before placing it beneath the pig.

Jane and Aiden.

We took Keegan fishing on the dock down the street from the house. We ended up catching an 18: Dolly Varden.

Random hot mountain girl.

Cannery down the road from the Sundbergs.

Pig, innards up, with juices boiling.

Dylan Beckham.

Jordan with crazy hair.

Tracy tosses another ringer on the horseshoe pit.

Steve puts the finishing touches on Porky.

Jane gets ready to pull Porky from the flames.

Sizzle, sizzle, oink, oink.

Keegan, Kim, Scott and Sanona.

Aiden chows a late night bowl of homemade icecream.

And we're done!

Alaska Trip: Day 6

Sanona, Aiden, Dylan and Jamie at Lily Lake.

Keegan, Sanona, Jacob and Aiden.

Steve and Mike about to go for a jet boat ride up the river to the cabons.

Fully loaded boat.

Too loaded - Scott, Kip and Ben got booted from the boat and waited for the second trip.

Scott and Kip going up the river.

The camp/cabins.

The main cabin has a big open area, kitchen, and...

bedroom, while the smaller cabins each have two twin beds.

More cabins and boardwalk.

Our project for the day: erect a sun/mosquito canopy. Unfortunately, we didn't have the bolt kit.

Steve and Scott watch the action.

The cabins from the river.

Kip, Ed and Ben.

Ed, ready to take on bear or water.

Moose tracks.

Wolf tracks.

Bear tracks.

Geese.

Horsetail.

On the way back from the cabins, we drove past SEABA's snowcat operation.

Back at the ranch, Sanona gets down.

And Izzy wsent a little crazy!

Grandma Jo did pretty well keeping up with the energetic kids.

Tracy hanging tough on the couch.

"Still Life with Nuk."

Julie and Jamie.

Alaska Trip: Day 5

We tried to have an eagle feeding down on the beach, but the eagles were a little too wild and smart to munch on salmon and crab leftovers so close to a gaggle of kids and adults.

Dylan and Jamie await the show.

Steve and Judy at the campfire.

Jane.

Good fire.

Ed and Lisa.
