Brandee's Visit and Dragon Boats

Jamie with Dylan in his good ninja outfit.

Dylan meets Brandee. After his initial reaction of, "Who is this southern/mountain/east coast/city/country lady?" seen here, they got along fine!

Happy Family.

Dylan at our local creperie, Cafe Cafe. He actually looks a little French in this pic, don't you think?

Ben and Dylan at the Dragon Boat Festival. We were hoping for a nice dose of Pan-Asian culture, but we only found Monkey Balls and Thai Sticks.

Our little future fisherman/engineer.

First Hike and Jazz Concert

Well, we've yet to put Dylan through the rigors of Fashion Week at 3534 Eliot, but we have given him a taste for the great outdoors and outdoor jazz.

To escape Denver's 100-degree heat, we went west to Roosevelt National Forest and the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. Not wanting to over-exert Dylan, our goal was a small glacial lake, Lake Isabelle, a few miles up the trail.

The Coynes, Mia and us.

Ben and Will taking pause atop a footbridge in a high alpine meadow. We all wondered why we were out of breath - the hike started at 10,000 feet.

Will looking pensive.

Dylan was a total trooper. He was wide awake for most of the hike, checking out the trees, sky and all the other hikers we passed, who were a little distraught over being passed by a 3 week old.

Dylan needed a bath before we brought him into the high society world of the City Park Jazz Series.

Mommy and Dylan.

Dylan.

Happy Mommy, happy Dylan.

3 Weeks, Visit from Steve and Judy

Still Life with Baby, 1/150 limited edition print. Get 'em while they last.

Ben and Dylan catch a few z's.

Judy (Panna) and Dylan.

Jamie, Dylan, Steve and Judy explored the Denver Botanic Gardens. Besides flora galore, they encountered some African sculptures.

Dylan has a standing reservation in his Boppy.

Big baby blues. We'll see how long they last. Any bets?

"I'm #1." Already a champion, Dylan displays his self-confidence while the rest of the family snacked on Italian delicacies at Stella, a neighborhood restaurant.

Happy Grandparents!

More to come soon. We've been acquiring plenty of outfits lately and it's probably time for a Dylan fashion show...

Dylan @ 2 Weeks

We've been fairly remiss in posting photos since leaving the hospital. Here are a few from Dylan's second week of life.

Dylan's first bath at home. It was quite an affair and we broke out the despised pacifier for the very first time. And you know what, Dylan was pacified.

The Thinker - our little genius.

Lounging around.

Proud parents.

Even prouder grandparents...and momma. Taking a break at North Restaurant after wheeling Dylan around through the 97-degree heat of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

Gangster for life.

Proud poppa takes Dylan for a stroll in the Bjorn.
