First Hike and Jazz Concert

Well, we've yet to put Dylan through the rigors of Fashion Week at 3534 Eliot, but we have given him a taste for the great outdoors and outdoor jazz.

To escape Denver's 100-degree heat, we went west to Roosevelt National Forest and the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. Not wanting to over-exert Dylan, our goal was a small glacial lake, Lake Isabelle, a few miles up the trail.

The Coynes, Mia and us.

Ben and Will taking pause atop a footbridge in a high alpine meadow. We all wondered why we were out of breath - the hike started at 10,000 feet.

Will looking pensive.

Dylan was a total trooper. He was wide awake for most of the hike, checking out the trees, sky and all the other hikers we passed, who were a little distraught over being passed by a 3 week old.

Dylan needed a bath before we brought him into the high society world of the City Park Jazz Series.

Happy Mommy, happy Dylan.
