Trip to Salida

Wow, tons of photos. Enjoy!

The Fam finishing up Dylan's 3rd trip to the Denver Art Museum. Boy is this kid cultured!

Jamie and Baby.

Ben and GG Claire at North in Cherry Creek.

Loving husband...

Dylan clutching his favorite blanky/animal.

Michael and Dylan waiting for a table at Lucille's, a creole-style breakfast/lunch mainstay in Denver. Beignets, biscuits and gravy/jam, andouille, oh my!

Dylan checks out his new mobile, courtesy GG Claire.

Ben gives Dylan the bottle. In preparation for daycare we've been giving Dylan a bottle about once/day. He's doing great. Happily going back and forth among Jamie, a bottle and a pacifier.

Michael and Laura hiking near Red Rocks.

A little mind at work.

Michael, Ben, Laura and Dylan enjoy apps and drinks on the front porch of 3534 Eliot.

Kool Moe Dylan.

Dylan and Grandma Laura share some quality time.

Michael and Laura enjoying the calming sounds of the Arkansas River at Riverfront Park in Salida. We took a quick trip to Salida for a weekend away from Denver's heat.

Walking the streets of Salida, a la Reservoir Dogs.

Rainy day liquor. Sounds like a country song.

A playboater playing in his boat in downtown Salida. We weren't brave enough to go with kayaks, but Ben, Jamie and Michael did wrestle the Arkansas River to its knees in duckies. Well, we wrestled at least.

A nice hike near the top of Cottonwood Pass outside of Buena Vista, BV.

Jamie hikes along a scree field.

The hike into Ptarmigan Lake.

Michael and Laura take a break on a fallen tree.

The gang at Ptarmigan Lake, enjoying sammies and other gourmet treats.

Michael and Mt. Yale.

Boyscout Dylan.

A flower and some trees.

"Jesus Loves Tacos." Couldn't resist snapping this one off. Taco, you obviously have a leg up in life. Nice work.

Tranquil Dylan.

Daddy and Dylan.

Michael makes home fried potatoes and a pound of bacon before the trip back to Denver.

The Royal Gorge, Canon City, Colorado.

Michael on top of Royal Gorge. It's a long way down. If you ever visit, make sure you bring your $23 to get into the actual park. There's a theme park on top of the Gorge and all unsuspecting visitors must pony up.

A big Colorado sky over the Collegiate Peaks.

Downtown Salida from above.

Ben and Jamie.

Ben and Dylan get used to the bottle.

Loving Momma and her son.

Coney Island hot dogs. An historic landmark along Rt. 285, outside of Morrison, Colo. The wait was over an hour so after 15 minutes we drove on.

Rainbow over the red garage.

Dylan meets Aunt Julia!

Next up, more photos from Julia's visit.

Excellent update guys - great to see the little man getting cultured and surrounded by loving family.

I also cant believe the guy upstairs had to let everyone know of our special relationship by writing in that tree. Ah well.

Rif, our seemingly-eternal game of phone tag will come to an end soon.
